The Guardian summarizes a contemporary genre of “cyber-sceptic” literature, such as Sherry Turkle’s “Alone Together”, “The Shallows” by Nicholas Carr, “The Net Delusion” by Evgeny Morozov, and others – and also presents some critique of that critique.

As we are struggling to conceptualize the personal and social consequences of the so-called “social media”, it is no surprise there is an abundance of perspectives. I'm Sebastian, Sociologist and Interaction Designer. This journal is mostly about bringing together social science and design for inclusive, privacy-focused, and sustainable "human-first" digital strategies. I also tend to a "digital garden" with carefully curated resources.

My monthly email newsletter has all of the above, and there are of course also an RSS feed and Twitter.
